NOTE: Hole number one (at the north end of the driving range) has been taken out of play. The green for hole number one is now shared with hole number ten (the water hole).  This change has created a pair of new challenges. Hole number one is now 420 yards long, rated 4th in difficulty for handicapping purposes.  And hole number ten is now 13th most difficult at 325 yards.

A bunch of old boys like to play tournament golf together so they created the Senior Men's League, which is played every other Wednesday of every month. Men who consider themselves seniors (over age 50) are welcome to play.

Not to be out-done, the ladies created the Thursday Women's League a while back.  Beginning the 1st Thursday in September, the course is closed between 8:00am and 11:00am each Thursday through June so the girls can get out and have a fun tournament without the men under foot!

There are a number of special annual golf tournaments benefiting, among others, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Gila County Foundation for Higher Education, and the Silver Barreras Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Club welcomes inquiries about special benefit tournaments.

The Walking Trail is open to members and participants in the fitness center year 'round. It measures about a mile and runs counter-clockwise around the periphery of the golf course.

The Banquet Hall in the Clubhouse is available for special events.  The Cobre Valle Country Club has become the local venue for receptions, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other social, familial and fraternal gatherings. Many families over the years have created wedding settings on the First Tee, followed by Receptions in the Banquet Hall. The Clubhouse is also a favorite for 50-year Anniversary celebrations.  Arrangements can be made through the Office, Manager or Bartender.
